Navarro kinda sucks to me. Never really did much cool stuff, even in Jane's Addiction.

frusciante is sooooooo overrated. Don't get me wrong I think he's very talented but people too often call him a god whithout knowing anything about music and repeating the shit they read.

Frusciante's got some fine melodies and harmonies but Navarro sounds much better, HAS better sound and a great techinque. Navarro wins it for me.

@cerealboxcar yeah u may be right but without this expeerience for the band, they wouldn't be so famous!
i mean their music goes from rap over funk till metal ( coffee shop ). So they can "offer" music for a big number of people!. And I already have said it, but i have to repeat it: You Can not compare all those guitarists. ((((((((((Except Josh and john.....josh has nearly the same style, but only because of their cooperation for years)))))))))

@nicklei369 OHM is definitely not the best album. There are a few good tracks on it but that is it, I think Dave Navarro was just the wrong type of musician for the Chilis. I also think Josh Klinghoffer is going to be awesome though.

e.g. the intro jam of slane castle. this solo is soo easy to play but its sound is so incredible.
I think Dave didn't really fit into this band but he was a welcome change.
when you're bored how about watching some DN videos. I mean the old rhcp-times-videos.
