Hard work and hope for a better life are the foundations of the so-called American dream.

Millions of people from all over the world flock to the United States to make a better future.

But Zeina Awad reports that while the dream comes true for some, it can be a different story for others.

People who think they can come to the USA and have "the American Dream" are stupid for thinking the so-called "American Dream" exists. It's BULLSHIT! If they come to the US with a billion dollars, then sure they'll have whatever they want.

But seriously, the "american dream" only applies to foreigners. Once you're HERE, you become a poor money-slave like the rest of us.

The USA was founded on GENOCIDE of the natives, THEFT of land and resources, and LIES force fed to the public.

The American Dream is a lie. People are unfriendly, boring, and racist. They are like robots. If you don't go to school, you will work very hard for very low wages uneless you are a real American and if you go to school and get a professional degree, you will make good money and achieve your dreams except that if you have a profissional degree, you will probably achieve the same even in your country.

Well if everyone follows the same responsibility of getting the usual job like everyone else and work hard like everyone else then there dream will be granted.

But for some reason america doesn't always want the usual person anymore, it hasn't become a place for just anybody only special people with special ideas, america only wants the smartest and the brightest but they will do anything to say that people of the working class are useless which might be true but it isn't right.

The American dream is elusive for Americans, and i think we should first make sure the people born here succeed first before worrying about immigrants.And that "DR" probably is not qualified to practice in the U.S. For some odd reason the world thinks that America owes them the life they dream of.

We are very friendly, we believe in treat others on how you would like to be treated, and I'm not saying all American's are mean, but some of you can be really rude. Oh ya and student loans that are also held by the government, I'm glad to be Canadian :D

I'm glad I live in Canada. Government runned healthcare, yeah it sounds stupid that we pay for other people dying or their prescription's, and yeah it sucks that everything up here costs alot more, but w/e we have good health, and we are friendly, and we welcome immigrants! We welcome everyone, because the more taxes being paid, the more better healthcare for all! We have good schools, which are also paid for by the government, and we also have the best banks! And ya we do say "eh" alot :)

I really desagree the american action to take the south of the actual US (Texas, New Mexico, etc, and of course, the Golden State: California).

I ask myself how could US be now without those states under it's kingdom?
