Eternal Sunshine Unofficial Trailer

I had to edit a trailer for a school assignment. This was the first trailer I edited, but was rejected by the jury because I didn't folow the rules exactly... actually I didn't follow any rules at all. I told the jury I applied myself some 'artistical freedoms' to not follow up all the rules, but they still didn't agree with my version. So I decided that this version was my personal trailer and for the school assignment I edited another (much less creative) trailer. Oke, now something about the trailer itself. When you've never seen "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" this trailer should give you some impression in a nutshell where the movie is about.

The trailer is devided in 3 parts, 3 so-called acts.
In the first act (0:00 - 0:16) the setting of the mood and the introduction of the characters is made. Clementine and Joel doesn't feel very happy, and actually their relationship is really bad.
The second act (0:16 - 0:45) shows us a conflict. Joel decides to erease Clementine from his memories, but he finds out that the life they had was more valuable than he thought it was.
The third act (0:45 - 1:10) is the the acceleration to the climax of the movie and the trailer. Josh desperately tries to stop clementine from being erased from his memories.

I used Avid Liquid to edit the trailer.

I think this trailer was very creative but i guess you do kinda give away what the movie is about...still good though =) good job.

It indeed gives away alot of the story, but it basically follows the standard trailerrules. Tell something of the story untill a certain point, and leave the people with the question "what will happen next, how will this end?"

But i've seen other trailers, also the official.. and those indeed gave away alot less information.
