@mpalm887 actually it is, most exhausts sound more high pitched even without the midpipe. The stainless/titanium version sound alike, first RX8 I test drove had one. Although I agree that it is alot of money pay for a sound!
-
The sound really isn't that exclusive. It's the engineering and weight loss you really pay money for here.
-
Can anyone tell me how much louder it is than stock because im actually thinking bout buying it
-
yeah.
-
so does the rx-8 have backfire, with stock exhaust?
-
tell me some more about this...and what you should never do with the rx8.
thanks

this is true..but no so with the 09 and newer ones, my dealer machanic just returned from a mazda sponsered school and thats what he told me. the engine was reworked a lot more than people think. anyway thats what he told me,

You should NEVER do like that with a Wankel engine!!!!!!!!!!! never start and shout down the Wankel engine.. You killing the Rx-8 and the engine!
-
much better. jic sounds awesome on any car.
JIC full ti isn't much louder than OEM with the OEM midpipe. The system in itself is actually fairly quiet compared to some of the others on the market.
To the geniuses preaching of "the Wankel engine" - I know about rotary cars. These were not cold starts -> cold shut off. No, the 09's did not fix this issue, the primary "fix" was a larger battery and a better educated buyer.
