Hi Youtubers. Here is my Canadian RCA Victor 45 record player and AM radio combo in a wood case model 9Y5 made in 1949. Along with some other items. Enjoy!!

  • Yay Canada! :-) some sets made in Cda were unusual and had different features than in the USA, same with sets made in Japan and other places I've noticed. Impressive that your set has an "aux" setting? That seems very advanced to me. The set is in beautiful shape. And very cool poster!

  • @RCALennon I never heard of Shelley doing that song, but it wasn't a single by her.. the Joanie Summers one that Desoto is playing here is the one that was a hit (and the only version I've ever heard..) it might have been an album cut by Shelley F. She's better known for Johnny Angel.

  • That is a cool rca red top !! Very low wow & flutter.. it's hard to get them to play that well, excellent!

  • Awesome Canadian player! I really like this song too, though I prefer the version by Shelley Fabares. Very nice adverts too.

  • love the needle holders too makes a great picture

  • I have a 1931 RCA Phonola 78 player & Radio played orthophonic records wonderful sadly it needs fixed

  • Very cool radio, and needle packs, Rich!

  • I have some of those needle holders still in a an old sewing canister that belonged to my grandmother. Very nice RCA poster, and that RCA 45 player sounds great. It reminds me a little of the one I have posted in the bleached blonde cabinet with an AM Radio. It definately needs a new cartridge. The old cartridge plays, but doesn't have much volume. I'm going to be checking ebay for a couple of low riders.

  • Great looking 45 player. Also like the Joanie Sommers song. I prefer the early 45 changers to the later ones that RCA made. I have two of them and at least they don't have the rubber drive wheel for the change mechanism like the later models do.

  • Neat-o! Love the poster too
