dumbasses! thats how your engine and everything else gets rusted. you're not supposed to turn on the engine!

It depends on the age of the belts,it would be best to check the belts before cleaning and make sure it isn't cracked or dry rotted.Also most all purpose is a little greasy that can also make the belt come off.
