uhm, why would you blast a heat gun at the board and risk damage when you can just solder the joints which disconnected? seems like the lazy way of doing it, and possibly dangerous.

Hey PPL for those of you who dont have a heatgun, you may be able to rent one from the local hardware store. Call Around to different places cause that's what I did. My hardware store doesnt rent out tools but they did loan me the heatgun they use to fix stuff for nothing. So it would be a good idea to call around. DONT use A hair dryer because it will NOT work and u r just wasting ur time. Good day pPL :)

so had a ps3 that needed the 4 penny trick to work on the rsk chip, i finalt got pissed smacked it and then got full blown ylod, so i fluxed the board used the heat gun, let it sit for 30mins, put it back together and still getting the ylod????? what is ur take on it? now this is a ps3 i got from a friend and some one else did work on it before not sure what they did?
