  • He needs to breathe more. Amazing for 14, but not the deep understanding of the phrasing and long lines of Brahms. Although virtuosic, there are many slow, lyrical sections here that are ignored and not given enough detail too. If he slowed these down a little, it would be great. He can obviously play the piece but just needs more maturity at this age. But amazing for 14 for sure.

  • please watch the video before speaking.Watch from 34 second and after,he is brilliant in technique.

  • His use of dynamics and tempi, the alternativ transparent and then legato or even pompous passages are not simply virtuosic but show a very deep understanding of line and an endless resourse of technical capacity in the service of interpretation regardless of age,,,, fearless and personal at the same time.

  • despite all the critics here one thing is sure, Sgouros today gives a lot of concerts and he amuses himself chosing works like the Blue Danube (Strauss/Schulz-Evler).

He has a large repertory. And he has full house when he plays. So I think he does not have to care about jealous critics too much....

  • rubinstain said for Sgouros that he is the best piano player ever seen inclunding him self!!!

  • OMG!!! this is one of the most difficult piano works!! Bravo!

  • i love this song for both book 1 & 2

  • Yes, there are a few 'moments' but most 4th year B.Mus students - if not almost all - can't do this.

  • Iam not musician but still in my exprience the music need the feel in your main and your hard(corazon) , he close the eyes for feel this song Iam shoore this gay put the life in the piano .

  • From such an early age, performing in Japan? Amazing!

  • You've got a point, there is no emotion. But in piano playing there is another quality, and that's rhythmic drive. Glenn Gould had no emotion, but he was brilliant nonethe less. Look for Gilels, the Russians are what you're looking for, sentimental and passionate> God bless. ^ _ ^
