@Ruderialbascomb Hi Ruderial, the answer on that retoric question you already now (none). For so many years I was trying to findout who is that person who played bass in such phenomenal way for Hair soundtrack..Recently I discovered here(and after some resarch) that he must be that person. I consider him as the greatest bass player ever. His basslines in Hair are unbelievable, every time I listen soundtrack.it blowes my mind away..You have such great dad..Best regards..
@simpeable I am pretty sure the white guy in the movie was just a stand in, and that Wilbur played in the band that did the movie soundtrack as well. I found an old online article awhile ago (can't find it anymore) that confirmed it. So only one source that I've found, but it also sounds like his style of playing in the movie. I have not heard many bass players that are as good as him.
@ekilajzer Are you 100% shure that he played bass for movie track, because I'am not.. There is one short scene in movie, I think it was in Central Park where on stage was white guy played bass. Also I found somewhere in internet that he played for brodway Hair, not in movie..So I would really like to put end on it after so many years of traying do findout who was real player for movie soundtrack.. Of course the basslines are the best I have ever heard in my life..
Had the good fortune to meet Wilbur at the Lone Star Cafe in NYC (the one on 13th and 5th) when he played bass for Mick Taylor. Helluva gig. Wilbur is a monster bassist whose name should be widely known.

@Kalmansoutu
I completely agree! Hare Krishna has one of the best bass lines.
i could listen to the whole Hair soundtrack over and over again. The musicians just fit so well together
