BTW, the statements contra my post all fall into the same catagory. Instead of focusing on the issue at hand, namely does CO2 cause or not cause dangerous global warming, they attack the messanger, using logical falacies such as motive intent and ad homenim - this is typical of a weak argument. Take a look at Wiki for more on this business of logical fallacies.
My background is irrelevent - I am just the messanger. As can be seen at tinyurl[dot]com/2es3rqx, the following statement has be signed by 127 of the world's leaders into understanding the causes of climate change:
“We, the undersigned, having assessed the relevant scientific evidence, do not find convincing support for the hypothesis that human emissions of carbon dioxide are causing, or will in the foreseeable future cause, dangerous global warming."
@AnotherNameForMeYeah Before ICSC Tom Harris worked for a Canadian-based lobby group called High Park. He ran an organization that denied the scientific realities of climate change and when Harris was asked by a reporter as to whether his group was funded by energy interests, he said "a confidentiality agreement doesn't allow him to say whether energy companies are funding his group."
In 2008 and 2009 the ICSC sponsored the Heartland Instiute's annual International Conference on Climate Change. The sponsors of the 2009 International Confernce on Climate Change has received over $47 million USD from organizations connected to the oil and gas industry.
The ICSC promotes the Manhattan Declaration, which openly states that "global warming is not a global crisis." The Declaration goes on further to state, "there is no convincing evidence that CO2 emissions from modern industrial activity has in the past, is now, or will in the future cause catastrophic climate change."
Currently, Harris is the executive director of the think tank, the International Climate Science Coalition (ICSC). The Coalition is an organization scientists, economists, and policy experts who have united to promote a better public understanding of climate science. In particular the International Climate Science Coalition offers an alternative to science projections and policy recommendation of the United Nations' International Panel on Climate Change.

"Interesting" comments from Tom Harris, a mechanical engineer who is executive director of the science-denying International Climate Science Coalition. He's here to spread his organization's disinformation.
You're right, Tom, CO2 is not a pollutant as we usually understand the concept. And water is not a poison. But too much of either one is a bad thing.
The "greenhouse effect" of CO2, whereby it traps heat in the atmosphere, has been known since 1861. Too much CO2 = too much heat.
"until he supports clean energy climate legislation" is misleading & clearly written for people who do not understand the issue. "Clean energy" should be pursued where practical, but the basis of the current campaign for climate legislation in the Senate is bogus since:
1 - CO2 emissions are not pollution or unclean. HS students know that.
2 - CO2 is not likely driving climate. Take a look at our Climate Scientists' Register for just a sample of experts who say this: tinyurl[dot]com/2es3rqx
