@thegreatbasher If you don't like the album/song, I can respect that, that's your opinion. But do you actually believe that Clapton consciously wanted to sound worse, and lied to himself and everyone else by saying he wanted to make this album?? Are you at all familiar with Clapton's solo career? EC worshipped the ground Cale walked on.... you damn well better believe that Clapton wanted to make this album.... whether it was good, is a different story.

Guys and gals I know that you won't like me if I say this but what was Eric thinking! My local band have been forced (well not quite right), more coerced into learning some tunes on this Album. Let me get this straight I love Eric dearly. He has made some beautiful music over the years but he sure went of the rails with this one. It is just sad when he says that he actually wants to make an album so he can sound worse!!!!!! The low point in Ride the River. What were they thinking!!!!????

Laid back and bored are two wildly different things. I guess the difference is invisible to some folks.
But taste is taste otherwise there would be only one band of underarm deodorant.

Sorry, I was being a bit facetious. It's a character flaw of mine.
