Testing out the new Wilwood 16" big brake kit - some before and after results. This is a 2001 Chevy Tahoe on 26" rims and 1000lbs of stereo system in back. The difference in stopping power is INCREDIBLE! If you have an SUV with big wheels you NEED better brakes! Especially if you have weight like i do! www.Wilwood.com! hit up my site www.SteveMeadeDesigns.com for more info on this ride!

  • dabambz is mostly wrong. While larger brakes do weigh more, they do not result in longer stops. If you don't know what you are talking about, shut up. Mead916 - good job upgrading your wheels AND brakes! I have this same 16" Wilwood kit on my Escalade with 26" wheels. I tow four-place snowmobile trailers through the mountains out west and would probably be dead if I didn't upgrade my brakes.

  • @jgscribner thanks man......oh and there is a video out there where the guy rips me a new one up and down over my false claims of better stopping - and the idiot FAILS to even notice how much weight i carry around and the size of my wheels. How can someone dispute a 6 piston caliper over a stock caliper when towing 2000+ lbs or in your case, a trailer full of toys. LOL - some people.

  • WTF am I doin' watching this????

Life's too short to waste time with this.......

  • @casicasixt much like the vids on your page, life is way to short to watch that bullshit....the difference is, people watch mine and nobody watches yours. LOL

  • @dabambz there is well over 2000lbs of extra weight in my tahoe. The truck stops better now, no ifs, ands or buts. If you cant believe that there is a difference, BUY SOME and find out for yourself - until then, you can sit at home, skeptical with your shitty ass stock brakes. :) BTW, These brakes were designed for the STOCK master cylinder. Wilwood suggested i do NOT upgrade.

  • Bigger brakes also means more rotational mass, which means longer stops. The only advantage of a big brake is it got more heat sink, which is more cooling. Unless you change the master cylinder to compliment the brake kit, then your pretty much making your braking worse.

Also it's nice that your trying to do the test as accurate as you can, but the fact of the matter is its done in different times, different days. There is no standard benchmark for conditions that make you data accurate.

  • what's the gas mileage like on the hoe? Cause those amps are HEAVY

  • siccccckkkkkkkk

  • от тупой америкс, к абочине прижать нельзя было сразу?

  • Nice ride and results

  • tyres are always the deciding factor-with the weight of your truck I can understand the brake upgrade-looks like the tyres where consistant in both tests-the better the tyres the better the braking, the better the brakes the better the tyres will work

  • wow is incredible
