  • the clicks are due to the micro-switches not the gate

  • @rrj4 Thanks. I just added an annotation about it.

  • is the button layout/template on tekken6 HRAP the same as HRAP 3 ? and the distance from ball top/stick from buttons??

  • @goldpenguin00 I think the HRAP 3's buttons are overall more at an upward arc, whereas the Tekken 6 buttons are more rectangular. That's just what I saw from a Google image though.

  • Great review, I've been waiting to get one of these HORI sticks. watching your video just reassured me. and your absolutely right, Once get use to using a stick it can be alot more fun for some games.

  • I'm glad you found this review helpful. :)

  • tHE UPSIDE DOWN U SHAPED BUTTON ALIGNMENT PISSES ME OFF TOO. I feel that it strains my finger. I KNOW why they did it. Some guy thought '' Hey, gee shucks. Our fingers are shaped like an upside down u, why not make the buttons align that way too? " But in all seriouness, I find it strains my fingers more rathern than to just have the buttons aligned in a STRAIGHT LINE. LIKE A KEYBOARD.

MOST PEOPLE ARE OK WITH THE KEYBOARD BEING STRAIGHT, NOT UPSIDE DOWN U SHAPED. FUCK...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • It pisses me off that I can't walk into a store and purcahse an " authentic " WESTERN STYLE arcade stick. FUCK...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FFFFUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You mean to tell me that to have a western style arcade stick, I have to build my own, mod the current joysticks, or buy X-ARCADE? FUCK...!!!! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? All over the USA before Virtua Fighter type games, we had the baseball bat, circle gates. WHAT THE FUCK...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • FUCK SQUARE GATED CONTROLLERS...

I returned to video games after a long break to learn that the horrendous LOLLIPOP SHAPED JOYSTICK, SQUARE GATES, and CONVEX BUTTONS ALIGNED IN AN UPSIDE DOWN U SHAPE TOOK OVER.

Look, the square gate works for Virtua Fighter type games, but I hate it for anything else. I bought the Virtua Stick High Grrade for Virtua Fighter, but I hate it for anything else...!!!!

Baseballl bat joystick, circle gate, concave buttons aligned in a straight line...!!!! PLEASE..

  • Easy bro! Nice review of the stick, I've watched a few reviews and this is the best for me as I'm a n00b awaiting the delivery of my HRAP3. I always play; T6, however will get back into playing 2D fighting games such as SF4/SSF4, MvC2 and SC4 (used to be my fav 3D, however T5DRO / T6 took top place).

Due to unforeseen circumstances I've not had access to my PS3 for months, however I'll be able to play no problem again and await getting used to the stick.

    Great review bro!

  • to those of you thinking about getting a stick and whether its worth it, i got carpal tunnel playing on a pad because of all the intensive thumb motion in street fighter 4. i ended up requiring a stick to even play the game. so yeah. get a stick trust me.

  • this didn't help at all. in the arcade there are only 4 buttons. 1,2,3,4 (square, triangle, x, and circle).

  • @BIGGBAGA not true art work is just as easy to change so are buttons and stick

  • Good control, gonna get one soon

  • Well that is a good point, I own a Hrap3 SA, and I'm happy with it, and you are right about the start & select button on the back, it also has a place to put the cable which is another good plus.

  • "my friend I play with him all the time "

  • @laloxortiz (

a TE comes full sanwa too , and the TE has a nicer shape case and the TE madcatz was smart enough to put the start and select buttons on the back not 2 cm away from the buttons , thats a huge downfall. Gett a te easier to get new art looks beter

  • You should buy a hori Hrap SA, it's perfect, comes with full sanwa parts.

  • lol good review, good analogy with the manual transmission.

  • Great Arcade stick review!! I'm still debating on whether i should buy hori or T.E

  • Ha ha, I thought it would have been implied. But yeah, thanks for reminding me. That's also a great incentive to buy one. :)

  • Nice review man. You forgot the other reason for arcade sticks, (the reason I got one myself) and that is for classic arcade games, like pac man and galaga. They just feel better when played on an arcade stick. :)

  • Thanks for the nice review!

  • Thanks man, Im getting one of these soon. Very detailed review

  • i got the hori fighting stick 3 to get in to using a stick, and it works great for arcade shmups aswell.

i might get this one couls, look at it, its huge!
