This Public Service Announcement was produced for Greenpeace by Toronto based advertising agency Zig in 2004. Ancient forests, like Canada's Boreal Forest, are being destroyed to make toilet paper and facial tissue. Find out more at www.kleercut.net
Over 600 thousand tonnes of Canadian ancient forest including the Boreal is cut down each year for tissue products like toilet paper - that's about 45 lbs of forest per person
Stretching from Newfoundland to the Yukon, Canada's Boreal forest is home to hundreds of wide-ranging wildlife species, including moose, caribou, lynx, bear and wolves. Thirty per cent of North America's songbirds and forty per cent of its waterfowl nest in the forests and wetlands of the Boreal.

Did you know that for soft cushioned luxury toilet paper, old growth trees are used because they have the longer fibres required to make it softer?? Do we really need this comfort for such a task?? Help save our trees and respect our Earth!

Maybe it's just another example of corporate green-washing.

They should learn to clean with water like Indians and Arabs do. Why should they run behind papers?

Would your rather use leaves?

Are you sure about this? I just watched a video that showed they make it from recycled paper. Besides, they also grow trees specifically for paper.
