@ckeith1987 pretty impressive turbo, but 100% power increment is really a lot, you probably need to keep the rev above 4k in a track day to keep the torque smooth
-
@nicholasxuu difference is im using the mx5(miata) engine with the bbr turbo kit. reading the reviews of the bbr mx5 they say the engine is smooth and responsive and i can always fit a lsd myself
-
@ckeith1987 you really need to check this fifth gear review. the fifth gear season 18 episode 08. there's a part about 1.6L westfield turbo. Not that a pleasant drive. Car's light, so the turbo boost/lag make it really difficult to enjoy. And, still no LSD...
-
@nicholasxuu im planning on buying a westfield with the 1.6 engine and putting the bbr turbo conversion on so it has about 220bhp
-
yeah you are right!

@RON2920 load of wank
-
That should be the westfield based on the 1.6L miata. It's underpowered, low in torque, and doesn't have a LSD. The car just understeers into the corner and cannot recover with power oversteer. So, go for the 1.8L donor car.

The guy driving the Caterham is a better driver, I think this is an unfair comparison! I have driven both Caterhams and Westfields and I have found the modern Westfield to be a more planted car, just without the pedigree of the Caterham!
