Wow! I really strange fusion at the beginning, but really really good! Brilliant dancer, and wonderful performance. Simply loved it!

Lots of times ballet has pulled from folk dance, and "oriental" inspiration, esp. in the Romantic period. Nice to see it come back around. Very cool fusion.

I agree that combining too many things takes away from each indiviually. I think combining belly dance with ballet leaves both bellydance fans and ballet fans disappointed. However, I loved the Jerry Lewis bit at the end, if the whole thing was funny, done as a comedy piece, all audiences would have loved it!
On a side note, I love the dramatic level changes you get from the pointe!

i dont love it as a belly dance piece. but as just a performance on its own i love it :)

This is different … not sure I really feel it. I find when you combine to many things together …something gets lost. She is an excellent dancer with fabulous control … but belly dance on toe….it is not my cup of tea.
