  • It's how the people make money, it's the same situation as dog and cat breeding. It's not necessarily forced either. The stallion would have done it naturally if he were left alone with the mare, but without the people watching, the mare could've been injured. Therefore, handlers are needed to make sure the stallion doesn't hurt the mare. It's a bit more detailed than that, but there's some basic info for you.
