This is the "improved" fade alogithm for the Cylon32 (previously LED Scanner 32) LED array sequencer. I'm told this is more screen accurate than the original end-bounce algorithm that I started with. This prototype uses 32 high brightness red LEDs and an Atmel AVR ATmega8515 microcontroller. I wrote the software in C using AVR Studio and WinAVR/GCC. I designed the PCB using Advance Circuits' PCB Artist and built this prototype here in the lab. The final version will use surface mounted LEDs and be arranged in a curve to fit in a Cylon centurion's helmet. Let me know if you would like something like this or similar. I make these things for a living. Thanks for looking!
