This guy hasn't the slightest clue about Germany, nor does his wife. I've lived in Germany and know what he's referring to, albeit erroneously. German toilets (at least the older ones) have a "shelf" in the back and the hole to flush out the "piss" in the front - opposite to the US. One can only imagine. A German friend of mine had a sign over his toilet that read, "Hier pinkeln nur Frauen im Stehen, wenn überhaupt (Only women pee standing up, if at all). It's a common courtesy, not a "law!" :)

At the end, it sounds like he's hell bound (pardon the pun) to piss against as many walls as possible when he goes back to Germany. Godspeed! Make us proud! I'm clearly not a man, since I sometimes pee sitting down. Please Jeebus have mercy on me!
