i don't think we have to fear this type of thing much in America in the 21st century. It's really a memory of the pre-internet age these communal living set ups and cults. Its comforting to dwell on the badness of this group for it takes our minds away from the atomization of our society today (it's no ones fault). So i do think there is a place for the kind of churches/synaogoues of Ben Franklin's day (Cotton Matthew not these vulgar megachurchs).

Well we all know that our OWN government that is keeping lies from us! So who we are going to trust, if not the government???

It's upsetting to see how messed up Ricky was by the trauma of his abuse, and I'm disgusted the authority didn't round those people up and do justice themselves rather than allowing him to take a downward spiral and end up the way he did. It's beyond sad to see him here, because you just realise how damaged he was his entire life :(

First point. The USA has far from the greatest government in the world. Second. How would you like it if you were inprisoned for a murder you did not commit, just because someone said that they saw you in the area? The legal system tries to avoid innocents being charged, however imperfect it may be, it's better than throwing every Tom Dick and Harry into jail with minimal evidence.

This is a sad story, but it's also sad how much of an idiot you are.
