  • I won't say that it's NOT good Because it is! You have to tone your waist muscle so that you adopt a good posture at work or wherever you are. And by thigning these muscle you create kind of a muscle belt and it can protect you from injuries (back) and to bad posture habit! I alway contract my abdomen when I work out and I don,t have any difficulty to breath. Of course there is a maximun contraction. you have to be able to breathe normallllyyy! That's my point!

  • why is she always so freakin' smiley?!? ><

  • 3 people r gay....

  • Hello! Have you thought about intellectus 424 diet (do a google search)? Ive heard some great things about it and my work buddy lost a ton of weight with it.

  • I once completely flattened my tummy and got my ab muscles totally solid and tight within a 2 month period, just by going around and holding my stomach muscles in. I'm not talking about holding your breath at all. I'm just saying, hold your stomach in. Concentrate on tightening those muscles. And eventually, you won't have to even think about it anymore, and your abs will just naturally be flat!

  • O my god Andrea! I'm so confused. I was so proud of myself. I have this ab bootcamp workout DVD at home and I started doing it. But then I came here on youtube and there's this guy on the internet that says that the first thing you have to do to loose belly fat is STOP doing belly crunches. I do some belly crunch exercizes with this DVD. ARe belly crunches bad?

  • youre beautiful

  • @DivSagi1388 Your "core" is the group of muscles that are close to the center of your body. It's what allows you to keep your balance. "Tighten your core" means to contract those muscles so they are being used. It's so you know which muscles you should be focusing on to do to the exercise/technique properly.

Sucking in is just holding your breath which doesn't help you. All it does is deprive you of oxygen, making it difficult to keep exercising.

  • @BluefruitNMusicSnow No you wouldn't be more hungry because your stomach is a very stretchy organ that is about the size of your fist. When you eat, it stretches out to accommidate for the food and shrinks back to its original size as it empties the food into the small intestine. And as I explained in my other comment, there won't be any "extra room" from not sucking in even if stomachs were large and not stretchy.

  • @BluefruitNMusicSnow You're muscles aren't causing the outward curve. The fat outside of your muscles that you can grab on is itself pushing out because there's no room inside your body for it. When you "suck in", you are not truly pulling the fat into your body, but actually displacing it. The inhalation of "sucking in" pulls your rib cage up and out and naturally decreases the pressure inside your body compared to outside so that you can breathe. Having your chest push out, pulls in your belly
