  • Remember folks--this scene--& film--was historic--the 1st fully " integrated" musical # ever filmed. And--can you even imagine--the " white gtuys" are playing for the " colored folks"??? Incredible! Yet, this WAS a film first--at GM's insistence. Wolfsky9

  • Thanks for identifying the bass player for me. I can now let my Dad know it was Trigger Alpert. He still remembers chatting with him one December 1944 night in Paris. (He just could not remember his name).
