  • I don't get how british airways could allow these older 777's wings to rust so much. I mean, I'm sure it's safe otherwise the thing would be grounded, but it still seems strange

  • @TSBA92 i guess these days its all about money, no point spending more if its still air-worthy :)

  • Loveley Moisture capture!

  • @planeboy737 thanks! :)

  • @TSBA92 Also I've seen G-ZZZA's wing after being cleaned and the wing is practically spotless! (BA's oldest b777)

  • @TSBA92 Huh? They're not rusty trust me. BA Has some of the best engineers and they maintain there Aircraft to the highest quality. They wouldn't have a maintenance base in Cardiff if they didn't? Just because some dirt/hydraulic liquid has leaked does not make it unsafe one bit. Aircraft have a pretty impressive life span! How ever their last BA Concorde at LHR is rusting away :(

  • Nice video dude! :)

  • @TSBA92 Not a problem! Sorry If I appeared harsh. Some of BA's planes do need a wash. But then if you've seen air france's.... it's horrible!

  • @planeboy737 I wasn't claiming BA would allow that, I'm not ridiculous enough to think that. I pride myself on knowing a lot about aviation too, and I guess that was the one thing that I was never sure about. I thought it was normal "wear and tear", and I associated it with rust. Thanks for clearing that up for me though

  • @TSBA92 It's not rust. It's dirt. As someone who knows the airline well. BA will not let you fly on an aircraft that isn't 100% safe.
