Inspired by this cool time lapse video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSHtPD4xb5o) I thought I'd give it a try.

I am using a Canon Rebel XSi and my stock 18-55 lens attached to a tripod sitting in my passenger seat. Also, the Rebel does not have a time lapse option so I have my camera attached to my 13" MacBook via USB and using the stock Canon EOS Utility to do the time lapse.

I have the software configured to take one phone every 15 seconds (in retrospect I probably should have done one every 5 seconds for a smoother effect maybe on the drive back).

The camera was set a f/22 with autofocus turned on.

The photos (163 about 40min) were loaded into Aperture 3 and exported to 720p using the slideshow feature. Each photo is being shown for 0.40 seconds with a dissolve transition of 0.40 seconds as well.

Here is the result.
