Actually Akbayan relief operations are still ongoin if you like to help. We are in need volunteers and donations.
The NPA is different from Akbayan by the way. The NPA considers Akbayan as As spies for the AFP and the AFP considers Akbayan as spies for the NPA.

Wait, fighting a war that didn't belong to us. You Americans are really a bunch of ingrates. We should've let the Japanese go ahead and butcher your veterans so at least we would have been spared the 1 million deaths in World War 2.
$9,000 is not even enough if you count the parents and relatives of those WW2 veterans butchered by Americans (over 1 million dead Filipinos) during the Filipino-American War. AMERICA SHOULD PAY FOR WAR DAMAGES.

Wow sad. Do you not realize that the Philippines was a territory of the United States during the entirety of World War 2? Yes, thank you Sen. Akaka for helping correct a terrible injustice that was inflicted upon AMERICAN veterans -- the Filipino soldiers that fought under the American flag.
