Detecting autism early is very important. I am so blessed that my wife saw the signs in our son very early and was able to take action to help our son. I don't think prenatal testing is needed for autism, just awarness. It is easy to catch autism if you know how a child should develope and be aware of how your child acts. For our son it was flapping hands, content to being alone for long periods, His extream fasination with leaves on trees (he would pet trees for hours), & other things.
