My Chocolate Labrador Ben tries to swim in water that's not even up to his waist :D.
He loves to swim and tries his hardest to swim, then does his mischievous act of trying to eat the label.

  • i just got a 2 year old choco lab yesterday off a friend ive never had a lab before (usually a german Shepard and other similar dogs) and im wondering are they supposed to drool ? its maybe a stupid question but im just wondering thanks for reading

  • @TheStevie1998 Ours does sometimes but not too badly, I usually find flatter faced dogs have more trouble with drooling.

Sounds normal for some dogs though.

  • @Stalkingtigeruk thank you its seems to have died down a bit he may have just been excited as we also have a female collie cross in the house

  • @TheStevie1998 Yeah sounds like being in a new enviroment and being excited, hope he settles well ^^

  • @TheStevie1998 my lab drooled at the slightest thought of food, which was most of the time,he was very greedy when eating, gulped all the time,i asked the vet about it,and he said its his breed, every meal was the last.he woul eat so quick, sometimes he would vomit, then eat that!.better than cleaning it up.

  • @sangsomphil Ben quite often wont eat his food all day if it's put down, he will just eat it when he feels like it, the breeder who we got him from had food down all of the time so they could get it whenever.

It stops that gulping that most dogs will do regardless of breed!

  • @TheStevie1998 we have one, we bottle fed 6 from 3 days old, the most beautiful &* smartest dog we have ever had. Very easy to house break. Was suppose to be an outside dog but we love him to much to keep him outside. & YES, he is a drooler ! He drools if he wants something really bad. Mostly food, though.

  • @TheStevie1998 thanks :)

  • Him said "Momma I'm doin it!!!! I'm swimmin!!!"

  • he's trying to dig through to the other side of the world..
