  • Wow! Thanks for posting this....memories, memories! Earlier was Atom Heart Mother I believe, and during the day, an amazing line-up. Just a shame about the weather!

  • @rickydubber Floyd and Zeps appearances have already been uploaded to YouTube, Floyds is on film.

I have put together a Bath Festival playlist if you have any trouble finding them. Also uploaded Johnny Winters set, will probably put Hot Tunas performance up at some point too . :-)

  • I could've picked any one of your uploads to say this, but I'm a Green fan. You have absolutely immaculate taste in music my friend. Many thanks for the musical education contained in all your uploads. Utterly top class.

  • @themandolinmaniac Ahh, there it is - John announces at the end that it was Rick Gretsch on violin - didn't know he played that (so who was playing bass on that track?).

  • Who is that playing violin on "My Pretty Girl"? Is it Papa John Creech or someone else? What a great festival - thanks for posting!

  • @lignamstick mother of god.

  • This brings back memories ,if I remember Donovan played an acoustic set then played it all again electric,Jonny winter was awesome, the sun came out on sunday afternoon for a wonderfull set by Frank zappa and of course the mighty Zep. happy days.

  • @steveuk17 Thank You for uploading. It wasn't until you mentioned Zep's appearance that I remembered being at this ! Still remember Knebworth 76 though when Lynrd Sknrd blew the Stones off their own stage.

  • Peter was trying to get a point across.. but i just coudlnt understand it, and that makes me feel like cryin

  • the cut in 33:20 around then sucks i was enjoying that lol

  • Thanks for posting this, its a nice surprise. I was there and lived just up the road in Doulting just outside Shepton Mallet. Greatest lineup ever. Hard to imagine bands like Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Santana, Frank Zappa, Steppenwolf, The Byrds, Johnny Winter, Canned Heat, Hot Tuna, Jefferson Airplane, John Mayall etc on the same bill.

  • Who'd have thought 40 years ago that memories could be brought back to life like this. Youtube is the next best thing to Time Travel.

Paving the way for todays festivals we had to fight against the negative attitudes to new music, festivals and us, back then.

    Great stuff thanks.

  • We were tough then. I slept under my cycle cape.. with girlfriend too. lol

Brilliant line-up and festival, and yes DonovAn just showed up and played a great set. Pink Floyd were best for me, followed by Santana. :)
