do u have to Nair then bucket? can u just bucket? if u just bucket is it less effective?

It's less effective because B moves appear when a character stops flying, while A moves appear ASA you are sent flying so you get to use bucket before finishing the flying trajectory.

when send flying, do nair and then bucket. no matter the direction you are facing, it will work.

Actually, there is a small moment when you can only DI. You can use arials very soon after you are sent flying though.
