@efeuermann Seeing that he is only 16, and playing this at such a high pace, it is incredible that he can actually pull it off. All cello masters have trouble learning this particular movement. Just think, Kodaly died before this song was fully learned correctly. In other words, it took Starker years and years to perfect. There's a reason why this song is considered one of the most difficult cello pieces ever composed. Watching a 16 year old play it like this, is simply amazing.

In the 70's there was YoYo (at Meadowmount) in the 80's there was Haimovitz, what happened in the 90's??, but now there is Matt Allen, the "Third Coming"
