@genelsac Why do you think everything was so simple and uncomplicated then? Shaw wrote many of his songs during the Great Depression and Second World War.

I once sat at a dinner club bar (The Half Fast Walking Club) and drank a bottle of wine with Henry Mancini before he when on stag and played with Pete Fountian. What a treat. We discussed all of the musicians and music that influenced his life. Afterward we took a picture together and they signed the Billing for me. What memories!

I listen to this while I play my World War II flight simulator...it fits quite well. Well, even if I'm not playing it, it's still VERY nice to listen to.



The clarinet solo on this recording is
considered the greatest of all time.
