I listened to the Superfly album reel-to-reel in Amsterdam in 1973. Blew me away. Still does. Curtis Mayfield was great. Miss him still.

Is this the song that his family is sued John mayer because they thought waiting on the world was a rip off of it? I kind of hear it.

Not from this performance-- they were singing the final song on TV performance, and it IS Curtis Mayfiels's best known song, but he forgets that David Sanborn was to play a sax solo. It didn't give them enough time to sing it all. It's called, "singing us off the air", when you pick a song, and just hope it'll all make it on the program before they switch to commercials. It's Jools Holland's late night show on the telly. Damn shame, I'm no fan of Sanborn's either.
