Laurel Mall merchants are struggling to bring customers into the largely vacant mall this Christmas season, and are trying to hold on until a renovation of the mall is complete
@dragondancer1814 or owner gonna sell it get chunks of change they need to stop being greedy and most pepole left because of how much rent money was also they need to fix alot of stuff.....
@richard12345471 It gets worse-I read in the Washington Post back on Halloween that they're going to be razing the mall and replacing it with an open-air shopping center. Of course given the state of the economy, they'll probably just tear it down and leave it vacant for years, which is even worse. Depressing, to say the least.
Laurel Mall was one of my favorite "haunts" growing up-my family shopped there all the time when I was a kid, and it was one of my favorite places to hang out as a teenager. Now it's a ghost, a shadow of its former self. There's nothing there but empty shops and a ton of memories. It's just another place I have fond memories of that's now closed down, sold out, burned down, or built over.
I used to like Laurel Centre Mall in Laurel, Maryland very much. It is a small mall but very warm. I haven't been in Laurel in more or less 11 years. I used to work at the Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in 1993 and 1994 as a Summer Intern with the GEM Fellowship, a Fellowship for Minorities. They radio in Maryland is incredibly good!!!
if you refix the stores we will come i love the laurel mall md comppaired to the columbia mall.the laurel mall is still my favorite place to go. i love to work the mall
