love all the mods including the master cylinder protector; they do look a little bit vulnerable as standard; transmission guard is particularly cool; what make are the panniers? Are they standard? I think MG have really come up with the goods here; should be interesting to see the comparative sales figures re 1200 GS over next year or so

Sorry for the late reply encabulator! I haven't been on the site for a while. Thanks for the nice comments. The panniers are Moto Guzzi factory panniers, but they are made by Trax, available from a lot of aftermarket suppliers. I have had nothing but good experiences with my Stelvio. Thank you juninhobubas. I have had only a couple of very minor issues with it. It has been an extremely reliable bike, no serious maintenance concerns at all.
