  • @wadehjb Life coaching requires individuals with a different outlook on life. A life coach will never push a client in any direction the client doesn't want to go. It's a creative job that requires the coach to help the client identify obstacles and then overcome them to achieve their goals through motivation.

It's entirely personal. A good life coach listens and focuses on building good habits and shifting a person's focus.

  • 16th!

  • Good money?

  • So you can do a quick course and that suddenly qualifies you to advise people on their lives, on overcoming depression, mental and social difficulties, phobias, weightloss, and many other serious issues that cause them to get stuck in a rut?

How about if you've lived through these things, achieved your goals and conquered your difficulties? Is that any good, or would I still need to fork out money to read a load of text books and pick up my certificate?

  • @rjambi I found your post very helpful! I have only 4 assignments left to go (and 3 "case studies") before I finish my coaching diploma course. It's not an ICF one either (hubby was like £4000? No!) Actually mine cost a lot less but it's still an excellent course & it was is the best course for ME. A lot of the ICF courses in my country were full time and or 1000s. Well your post was very encouraging to me personally, gave me hope. Thank you!

  • I am a life coach but I never took a training course from Kentucky. Why is the most accredited coaching institute in one of the most impersonal states? Well, I do very well because I have the desire to help people. Honestly I do a much better job of making other peoples dreams come true than I do myself. <---- The statement I just typed was a reflection on me before I became a life coach. Now that I understand my purpose in life is to help others, my personal life has blossomed.

  • Life Coach: The Ultimate Skate Job.

  • I don't have a Desire to help! What should I do!?
