I am 14 years old and read Lone Survivor and I have to say it was the best book I ever read. When get older I plan to go into the military like brother is now. My brother is an Army Ranger Sniper and he went through some tough stuff but nothing like Marcus went through. Marcus Luttrell is my biggest role model and greatest hero and will be until the day I day. R.I.P. Axe, Danny and Mikey, god bless you for your service, live well.

It's amazing how muslims, will stop at nothing to leave their homelands for a better life in the west. Yet, when they arrive in the west, they try to bring their ideals,religion and customs with them. Dear Muslims, if you dont like it here, then leave! Marcus, you are a legend!

@CommieKid Go fuck yourself. They most certainly did not. The seals were out numbered 32-1 and they still managed to take out more than half of the Taliban that they were fighting. you should seriously consider moving to Afghanistan, climbing up to were the the Taliban are located and see how much you like it.

@CommieKid And I'm not woo'ed by any sort of jingoism btw. I'm impressed with the absolute sheer mental strength these men display; the loyalty they have for one another; the respect so many of them display; and the discipline. Those three traits are rare, and in fact you'd be lucky to find just one in a person. Take a look at the story where some guys shot his dog. He could've killed 'em all, but didn't. These guys are very unique, extremely strong and exceptionally smart. Supermen.

@CommieKid Please..as an ex political science student, I bet I could argue your leftist points better than you, but alas to you the world is black n' white and the SEALs only serve the interest of private vices. Some of that is true, but again it's not black n' white and if anyone showed up on the shores of North America they would be fighting to protect us. I felt for Marcus because I have compassion and empathy, and no matter what you think of war, what he went through is very tough
