I've been there last February and I also took the "hard" side. It was unbelievable and we all felt very small standing there and looking at the mountains and the longest building in the world...
But it was very cold and windy... On some parts there was also snow :-)

Oh yeah. sorry everyone. im just saying these things below to snickysnacky.

i agree with sonofmanchu. and china is also a beautiful country.. your stupid pollution comment also hurts people who actually were born in this awesome country. just a side note, almost everywhere is polluted. and also the camera probably doesn't have very good quality for videotaping this place. SO THERE!

No problem. I usually consent to almost anything. Of course this clip on YouTube is only a portion of the longer Great Wall segment that is part of my complete film on China, "The Last Emperor's Home Video". I stream 32 videos on line from all continents.

The Great Wall once extended across all of China's northern border. Today it is a complete ruin in most places, except for a small number of restored sections. One of these, swarmed over by tourists is at Badaling, near Beijing, as shown in the clip.
