Turn The Page

This is classified as a "Parody" since that gives an exception to copyright, but it's not a parody in the sense that we're making fun of the original. The lyrics have been rewritten to tell part of my brother's story as a biker who found God, and then realized he was playing games with his faith.

Here are the lyrics:

On a long and lonesome highway, losing track of time,

You can think about the service and the preachin from the night before.

When youre riding sixteen hours, and theres nothing else to do,

Well you walk into a restaurant from the heat of the day,
You can feel the eyes upon you when they ask for you to pray,
You pretend it doesnt bother you, but you wish you could expose.
All the things that you have done, but not sure if you can,
You hear the same old thing each day, Hes a mighty anointed man,
They always seem to look up to you, but you know the truth at hand.

As the sweat pours out your body like the part you try to play.
Later in the evening as you lie awake in bed,
With the echoes of the ministers ringing in your head,
You wanna pray like you used to, but you dont know what to say.
