LYRICS:
Wanna tell you about the girl I love
My she looks so fine
She's the only one that I been dreamin' of
Maybe someday she will be all mine
I wanna tell her that I love her so
I thrill with her every touch
I need to tell her she's the only one I really love

I got a woman, wanna ball all day
I got a woman, she won't be true, no
I got a woman, stay drunk all the time
I said I got a little woman and she won't be true

Sunday morning when we go down to church
See the menfolk standin' in line
I said they come to pray to the Lord
With my little girl, looks so fine
In the evening when the sun is sinkin' low
Everybody's with the one they love
I walk the town, Keep a-searchin' all around
Lookin' for my street corner girl

I got a woman, wanna ball all day
I got a woman, she won't be true, no no
I got a woman, stay drunk all the time
I said I got a little woman and she won't be true

In the bars, with the men who play guitars
Singin', drinkin' and rememberin' the times
My little lover does a midnight shift
She followed around all the time
I guess there's just one thing a-left for me to do
Gonna pack my bags and move on my way
Cause I got a worried mind
Sharin' what I thought was mine
Gonna leave her where the guitars play

I got a woman, she won't be true, no no
I got a woman, wanna ball all day
I got a woman, stay drunk all the time
I got a little woman and she won't be true

(Hey hey what can I do)

I said she won't be true

(Hey Hey, What can I say?)

Hey hey, what can I do
I got a woman, she won't be true
Lord, hear what I say
I got a woman, wanna ball all day

  • I remember when zeppelin releases would hit the streets, heading to the record stores to get them.

perhaps i'm biased buy young people today are getting screwed, musically. at least we have stuff like this to remind us.

thanks for uploading such a quality version. you rock. pun intended.

  • @vinylvillela Imagine that i'm 15 and i posted this song year ago...

  • The reason this song is on the "B" side of a 45 is because the "A" side is IMMIGRATION SONG a CLASSIC 45 to have. I gave mine to a friend, Mark Rawlins, 1984

  • Led Zeppelin has a such a great sound in this song! There's just something wonderful about it. It makes me think of wine, women, and shady country roads.

  • this song was uploaded on my birthday

  • Probably one of the best songs ever written.

  • EVERY BAND HAS A LEAST ONE HIDDEN GEM

LED ZEPPELIN-HEY HEY WHAT CAN I DO

    ROLLING STONES-CHILD OF THE MOON

    BEATLES-THE INNER LIGHT

    BLACK SABBATH-WICKED WORLD

    KNOW WHAT I MEAN

  • The band themselves thought it was "scrappy" at the time (the recording sessions of LZ III in mid 1970). They only released it as a single in America, thinking this kind of song would only be good for that market (and not on any album). It didn't have anything to do with "enough acoustics" or too many of them - if a song was good enough, it was going on that session's album, if it was completed. Some songs, like the Rover and No Quarter were already created, but nowhere near completion

  • How the hell did this tune end up being a b-side?

  • @guitardds yea its a nice song. but remember led zep IV also has some nice acoustics with going to california and battle of evermore. i think they just thought they'd have enough acoustics already and considered this one the weakest (with the weakest message)

  • @donnjuansohn

Hah ya, probably, wonder what the reasoning was. That has Led Zep III written all over it.

  • @guitardds ...led zep themselves?!
