Downgrade Iphone 3g baseband 5.12.01 on 3.1.3 Firmware

IMPORTANT: This video is for those who have IPhone 3g with Bootloader 5.08. Many users who have upgraded their Iphone 3g to 3.1.3 firmware have lost there Unlock as well. Meaning they are not able to use it with T-mobile or any other Un-Official Carriers. The reason being 3.1.3 Firmware upgrades the baseband from 5.11.07 to 05.12.01 and this 05.12.01 cannot be unlocked with Blacksn0w. But only at one condtion as described in this video that you have to have Iphone 3g with 5.08 bootloader.
In order to check what bootloader you have, First You need to have a Jailbroken Iphone 3g.

Then from Cydia download "Fuzzyband" which is going to tell you what Bootloader you have and you are lucky or not. If YES , then you will be successfully downgraded from 05.12.01 to 04.26.08. Then you can simply use "Ultrasnow" to Unlock your Iphone 3g and use any Un-Official GSM Sim card while having 3.1.3 Firmware in your Iphone 3g. This 'Ultrasnow' is available for download in Cydia.

ANY IPHONE 3G BUILT BEFORE SEPTEMBER 2008 HAS BOOTLOADER 5.08 IN ITS SYSTEM. LATE COMERS DON'T.

If u cannot find "Fuzzyband" in your Cydia then Please add this source in cydia "http//apt.steffwiz.com/" then install "All Sources" then find it you will see it.

The above does not apply for Iphone 2g or 3gS. Only Iphone 2g users can successfully update to 3.1.3 Firmware and Unlock it with two bootloader files that is 3.9 and 4.6. Since, Iphone 3gS has 6.02 or higher bootloaders so its not going to work for Iphone 3gS.

hey emac, my sister just got the 4 and gave me her old iphone 3g, but before she gave it to me she upgrades it to firmware 4.1 but i managed to downgrade it to 4.0.1 but the baseband is on 05.14.02 and it is unlockable, please help me!!!!

So, if your iphone is stuck on searching is because of the modem firmware, the baseband? I have 5.15.04, firmware 4.2.1 jailbroken and was unlocked by a guy and I paid for it but I got two bars since jailbrokern, to stuck searching for signal and them sim error and then stuck on searching to no sim card or no service. Should I downgrade my baseban? What would be the consequences of downloading the baseband if that is not the problem but a hardware problem? Send me a reply for my iphone 3g
