@FlippingFool1 ummm no, also depends all on design too...go try a crappy jerkbait and a good jerkbait like the Ito 110....HUGE difference. It's just not the lip it's all based on design.

@FlippingFool1 what stimulates the fish to strike nine times out of ten is the panicking action of the bait our the lure.

@9showoffsin1 - When a bait turns and looks at the chasing game fish it actually aggravates them and in a lot of cases gets them to commit... especially when they are chasing but not committing immediately.

@Tomaszeks - Just for your information... all jerkbaits that are hard lures have lips... that's what gives them their action.

I'm not to sure about a real bait fish turning and looking at the fish abut to eat it. I study many fish and watch them eat outher fish and every time the smaller fish just flat out runs.
