  • Is that his wife on piano?

  • That is Mehudi's sister, Hephzibah Menuhin on the piano.

  • Oh, I never even heard of her! When did she die?

  • She was born in 1920 and died from cancer in 1981. Its unfortunate that she died at such an early age, she was an accomplished pianist and she made a great team with her brother.

  • very delicate indeed, to compare however with the performance of the same sonata by Yehudi Menuhin and Wanda Landowska wihch I find with more inspiration and force!

  • Incredible. This adagio has such a delicate balance between sorrow and peace. The Menuhins get it just right. Thanks for posting!

  • This is a nice piece, of course less restraint would be good, as for show business, his technique I guess is fine and he brings strength at the end

  • oui, Menuhin was my favourite player, I can not get his vibrato, If somebody have any informations about his vibrato please, give me

  • Very spiritual piece, unexpectedly discovered and completely disconnected from the baseness and meaninglessness of ordinary existence. The bar which occurs several times, for ex. at 5:00 is the heart of this song. Such a pity Bach has passed away, his work is one of the greatest gifts to humanity. Educate first through music, so that no man will grow without an appreciation and aspiration for the sublime
