Hi. I would like to suggest that perhaps the mandatory switch to digital transmission in the television and, eventually, radio industries, may be a way to make it easier for copyright holders to ensure they get compensated when their content is broadcast. Digital transmissions are much more cost-effective to monitor and track with a machine, simply because of the ubiquity of digital technology.
