The first in hopefully a series of separating the great players with the overhyped and overrated ones in soccer.

The first episode is on Robinho AKA "Little Pele"

  • I guess winning so many games at the end stretch could have been motivated and devised by anyone with the same roster.

Robinho was overhyped as the next Pele, so I was exposing that. I don't think you understand that that was my argument. Relax.

  • Hehe! I see you are an american! You really don't understand football or soccer as you call it. A football player isn't rated just by the goals he scores, but also from the performance. Robinho was one of the main factors so that the gold came to Madrid last year!

  • As a sub, yeah. If you notice, Robinho has stopped his useless stepovers lately and is playing one-touch and now he's doing much better. Robinho was overrated and overhyped. If you've rated him high in the past, than fine, but Capello seemed to agree with me last year.

It's ad hominem to say that because I'm an American, I don't know soccer. The argument was that he was hyped as the next Pele, which was erroneous. They don't really play the same style; they don't use the same skill sets.

  • wow what an idiot. i love how you show clips of robinho turning defenders inside out and say his stepovers are wasted. not every stepover you make isnt going to fool defenders anyway..theyre professionals. hes compared to pele bc PELE HIMSELF said robinho reminded of him when he was younger. it has nothing to do with goal scoring and "flopping". and dangerous isnt always equated to goal scoring. ask any defender if they dont piss their pants when hes running at them. he makes things happen

  • "During today's meeting in the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the Board of Directors of Real Madrid decided to open an investigation prior to fining the club players who, after playing in internationals with their respective national teams, decided to delay their reincorporation into the First Team. The Board has every intention of expediting the process and will determine the outcome shortly."

Robinho partying instead of looking out for the club that pays him. He flopped on his team :(

  • wowoowowow. that has nothing to do with your point of the pele comparison. organize your argument then maybe youll look like you know anything about football.

  • wowowoow thank you for accepting defeat. robinho is worthless.

  • It´s not that he sucks (of course compared to Pelé he´s a useless piece of shit), it´s that against good defenses he´s nobody. Put a decent defender against him and he does nothing. It doesn´t matter how many goals he scores against the little teams at the end of the league table, he will never be up to standars of a world class team like Real Madrid.

Seriously, watch closely. Against a decent defense what has he ever done? Yet alone an important match like Semifinals or a Final.

  • Robinho was said to be better than Ronaldinho and as soon as i saw him play i knew he sucked balls

  • hey mate i totally agree with you.

pele and maradona were the greatest to watch.

i played soccer all my life and still do. could've made it professional, but to make it professional it helps to have contacts or to have your uncle or father as a coach or something.

alot of players are hype these days. beckham is the leader. for example why can't these so called professional players kick with both feet with equal ability? there should be no weak foot when u get paid 100,000 pounds a week !

  • i'm curious about your opinion on messi and cristiano...

  • youre pretty much overhyping pele aswell, retarded clueless american

youre comparing peles goals at santos in brazilian league to robinhos goals playing at real madrid in la liga. retard.

  • youre pretty much overhyping pele aswell, retarded clueless american

  • dude, you don't know sht... have you actually watched a game he played? all the points you made are nonsensical. Robinho played as a winger for RM, wingers cross and not score you dumb shit. stepovers are useless? are you fking serious? have you been lived under a rock? 'little pele' was given to robinho by PELE. dude...just gtfo

  • It's not pronounced 'Pay-lay', it's 'Pe-lay'. And Robinho isn't crap. As a Man Utd supporter it pains me to say it but Robinho is absolutely brilliant, when he's on form. Against some of the bigger teams he goes missing but there's no doubting his ability. Just because he's not as good as Pelé doesn't mean he's crap. That's harsh. Also, at the beginning of the vid you say all the players in the intro are stars; as much as I like him, Quaresma has fallen from grace since he left Porto.

  • This video is crap. . First of all The reason they call robinho lil pele because he is also good and he is also from brazil just like pele. . Second of all, if you watch closely on the minute 3:11 they pull his shirt. . thats why he falls on the ground. . Third of all, its not as easy for robinho like how it was for pele back then, because pele had it more easy since many people werent good at soccer. . buh yea all you haters dat hate on robinho. . jus hate somewere else!!

  • robinho is ridiculously overrated. he can't touch people like kaka, let alone pele. he has his good days, but most of the time what he does is dribble, lose the ball, take shots that don't even go near the goal, and do horrible passes that accidentally work out. he is a good dribbler, but what use is that if he loses the ball immediately after doing so? he is also a shameless diver and a okay player AT BEST

  • ROBINHO is the best!!!!

  • when you say useless stopover i think you should watch other videos where he actually gets the defender..
