@SuperDubnut The music was west indian ,the clothes were definately british .The look was clean ,simple but not flash and expensive . Clothes were ironed and leather polished. Ear rings and tattoos came later . I lived it

@SuperDubnut well, its pretty much agreed that in a sense, the original skinheads weren't racist, ie there were black skinheads. but skinheads were generally prejudiced toward indians, pakistanis, and the like

Get the facts right, then you'll be able to enlighten yourself.
Original skins were NOT racists. In fact they were quite the opposite. They adopted the Shirts, braces and workboots(Doc Martens)off the Black immigrants who came to the Uk in the 50's and 60's They loved their music and the movement started from there. Too many like you gobbing about something they know nothing about.
