On July 29, 2009 I took a ride on the Downeaster from Haverhill to Portland. The train was unique that it had a P42 on both ends. Here are some of the stations and views from the train.

  • thats the first i have seen a painted panam gp 9 so i looked up and it is engine 370

    the engine is at 6:13

  • that panam engine is actually a gp 40 high nose which was purchased from norfolk southern

  • No, I don't think the Downeaster goes through Melrose if it leaves Boston on the Lowell Line.
