Emily McHugh, soprano, performs in recital on March 16, 2008 at the North Shore Hotel, Evanston, IL. Douglas Asbury, videographer and producer.

Love is where you find it, don't be blind, it's all around you everywhere.
Take it, take a chance now, for romance now, tell your someone that you care.
Spring love comes upon you. When it's gone, you feel despair.
Soon though in the moonglow, you'll find that a new love is there.
Love is where you find it, fate designed it to be waiting everywhere.
It may hide from you for a while. It may come tonight in a smile.
Fan the flame of a new love, in the arms of a true love, seek and you shall find. Ah....
Take it, take a chance now, for romance now, tell your someone that you care.
Love is where you find it, don't be blind, it's all around you everywhere.
Lyrics by Earl K. Brent

  • GORGEOUS!!! you're amazing. you seriously took my breath away. is there any way I could get this sheet music from you??? I need it desperately.

  • @heresmysweetusername I couldn't find it online, so I've asked Emily if she could post the info for you here. I hope she is able to help. In the meantime, do you live close to a major music school? Perhaps they have it in their music library.

  • @heresmysweetusername Emily got the music in photocopy from her voice teacher at Northwestern. I can't find any reference to the sheet music online, not even a publisher. A large music library is the only option I can suggest.

  • Not bad! Vocally very good. Just a bit too "steady" in tempo & temperament; partly the (otherwise excellent) pianist "reading" the notes rather than letting it go.......

  • @NOSEhow2LIV If I remember correctly, Emily was able to secure Nolan's services at the last minute, her regular accompanist being unavailable. So if he wasn't sightreading on this occasion, it was something close to that. Listening to this and the other things the two singers (Emily and Autumn West) performed on that occasion, I was awestruck at his ability!

  • @heresmysweetusername She's not bad and at least hit the D. The A is thin however. The tempo is errratic.

  • @xnlover Fair enough, and in that case bravo, indeed! Imagine how she could have gone even further if they'd had more preparation together.

  • @xnlover I could try the libraries at different schools in NYC, that's a good idea. thanks very much for your help I appreciate it!

  • you sound beautiful!! where did you find sheet music for this?
