I love how canadiens brag about how soon cancer treatments are started. Just how many people survive those treatments with a good quality of live? My father died after the system milked his insurance to death. He was a sick S.O.B. for a good year of chemo. And I've heard of others who went through radiation treatments that yes they were alive but their quality of life was gone...
I just watched a utube vid on fox "news" taking the piss out of Canadian health care, the American's also took the piss out of the British NHS too.
The Americans are so brainwashed and their news channels are worried about losing commercials from medical insurance companys so of course they won't knock them.
British NHS... probably the best health care in the world and free.
The only place in the developed world that you cannot get care if you have no money is America.
@ViCe1986 For surgeries, yes we wait for a few months for NON-urgent surgery like hip replacement, but we ALL get the surgery. How long does one wait in the U.S. when they have no coverage and can't afford the procedure? The ultimate in wait time, forever. Canadians don't wait for urgent surgery or procedures.
@ViCe1986 Very, very few Private clinics in Canada perform operations. Most are boutique clinics charging 3 grand to see a family doc. We ALL get access to get care, unlike the U.S. system where MILLIONS simply forgo care because they can't afford it. To claim we wait months for a primary care doc is ignorance at its best. The average wait time is more like 4 days, in the middle of winter season. I've never waited more than 2 days for mine & most times the same day.
No I am talking about the fact that the average wait time for PCP and non emergency operations is 4 months. If the Canadian healthcare system is so great why did the Canadian Supreme Court rule that the state monopoly on healthcare is unconstitutional because people are not getting access to care?
Like the US Veterans Healthcare System, the Canadian Healthcare system is filled with waiting for care. So bad the courts had to intervene, and allow private clinics.
