@hiloc19 Actually she was cremated. Her ashes were interned at Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris and were stolen. Her ashes were recovered and then scattered into the Aegean Sea. Only the original urn remains at the cemetery.

Netrebko really captures the moments that's almost definitive of everything you want to see on stage.

@Pizuzuzimmer "O, reform it altogether. And let those that play
your clowns speak no more than is set down for them;
for there be of them that will themselves laugh, to
set on some quantity of barren spectators to laugh
too; though, in the mean time, some necessary
question of the play be then to be considered:
that's villanous, and shows a most pitiful ambition
in the fool that uses it. Go, make you ready."
(W.Shakespeare, Hamlet)

The young and the vulgar confuse 'sexiness' with a machine-like thump-thump-thump rhythm and a strumpet dry humping a pole. Those who have risen far above the rank of the base apes understand that human sexuality can be so much more than that.
I have to laugh when I listen to the crap my son listens to on his MP3 player. He tells me that apparently I have to 'get with it' & listen to his 'sexy music' Little does he know...

This must have been Massenet's dream, Anna singing his "Manon" ones.
