THX Ltd (George Lucas Co.) filed false copyright infringement claim on this video! WTF!

THX FILES FALSE CLAIM - Unjustly blocked the video claiming we used their AUDIO, and the THX "sound"... of which is not and never has been part of this video. This is a prime example of the subject of the video. We resent THX for their ignorance, their threats and unprofessional carelessness.

They are not the first media company to abuse D.M.C.A. laws and disrupting reputable users, especially Sam, a long time YOUTUBE PARTNER!

Disclaimer: All the words contained in this text are from the Webmaster of Sam Harris and not Sam Harris, since the Webmaster had to deal with these inept individuals for months without resolution.

It took a final demand that they WATCH the video that jeopardized our account. Moments later saw they abuse authority they thought they had.
THX has never apologized or offered anything in return in response to their ignorant actions.

This video was uploaded on February 01, 2008. Almost eight months later, THX Ltd. decides to simply choose this video to be blocked, as their property, and the action put a strike against our YouTube account as a copyright violation. THX made a claim that we had used their content. It's quite obvious that they never even watched the video.

We'd also like to add that there are HUNDREDS of videos on YouTube for "dramatic lemur" alone using the THX audio, as an example. And, of course, all of them are still active. Therefore, this claim is suspicious.

For over two months, trying to get someone from THX to reply to their unjust actions with no reply, we finally demanded action and got the attention and communication we deserved. This communication should have been made BEFORE a claim was made against us.

This is not just a cute little video taken down with no big deal. This is a threat against our good account standing with YouTube, our paid partner affiliation, and the degradation of the name, Sam Harris.

THX finally took the time to actually review the content they made the claim on, and as anyone would see, they do not own anything on this video. This entire unprofessional action should be used as an example by anyone who is victim of similar frivolous claims.

Please feel free to use the comment area to discuss this matter as we have no problems speaking publicly about it, since THX had no problems creating a public announcement of our "violation" and "infringement" when anyone clicked the link.

We wonder what George Lucas would say.
